No formal qualifications required to start Level l. Completion of this Course leads to an Award in Insurance. This course is suitable to someone who is new to the industry and wants to improve their knowledge. This is the beginning of access route, allowing entry into the Certificate in Insurance ending with the achievement of the industry's highest professional status; Fellowship. This course includes lecture sessions, workshops and directed reading, with the aim of gaining good theoretical understanding of the EHS field. Participants should get a wide range of basic information in the field of environment, occupational, health and safety studies as well as an understanding of the critical interdepen¬dence of the earth's systems and how to manage this interde¬pendence. This certificate is directed to industry experienced Occupa¬tional Health and Safety employees, mature individuals and individuals with a minimum of five CXC/O-Ievel passes Starting with a Foundation Course, moving into the Certificate, Diploma and Advanced Diploma, it entails lecture sessions and classroom work¬shops, individual and group project assignments and presentations, directed reading and study. The expected outcomes are a systematic and expanding understanding of the key principles and practices associ¬ated with the academic content of each module and a solid, practical understanding and appreciation of the dynamic and complex world and operational elements of Business, Industrial and Commerce enterprises and environments Also starting with a foundation course, this program is directed to individuals who want to gain a thorough appre¬ciation and understanding of the knowledge, attitudes and skills required to be a successful small business owner and entrepreneur in the modern global context. It gives practi¬cal experiences of the operations, practices and procedures of a variety of existing business enterprises with 'hands-on_ practical business management skills. The Social and Political Research Department will be host¬ing a series of national confer¬ences on issues relevant to national develop¬ment. Leaders and outstanding professionals will be invited to share their ideas and views. This course includes classroom lectures, workshops and discussion sessions, individual and group projects, written assignments, directed reading, The intended audiences are individuals with undergraduate degrees or Diplomas in Management, Business Studies, Labor/Cooperative/Credit Union Studies, or five years of senior management experi¬ence, Upon completion, students should have modern, global insights regarding Executive Leadership, as well as exposure to a broad range of knowledge and practical skills necessary for effective Executive Managerial Leadership. |
